Dressed to ImPress?

Another Voxbox! We all know that the Sally Hansen one didn’t work out so well for me. Oh how I wanted those to live up to the claims that they made. Sadly, I’m starting to think that my body just hates the world and will reject anything a company wants me to tryout for them. This month the ImPress Manicure showed up at my door and called for me to try them out.

I need to start this out by saying that I have never worn acrylic or gel nails before. I’m a natural nail kind of girl. So, the idea of a press on manicure sort of bewildered me a little. I know that I am blessed with good sized nail beds and decently shaped nails though. For someone who’s nails need a little more lovin’ this might be something that would appeal to them. I’d never thought to try something like this but when these two little packages showed up on my doorstep I thought “eh, I’ll give it a try!” Continue reading

Another Dose Of Glamour

Happy March everyone! Today I have a review of my February Glam Box. I was sent this box for the price of shipping to review for you. This is my third box from this service. I really love the large variety of products that you get inside this box. I was so excited that I was actually quite angry at Canada Post when they decided that they would rather I pick it up at my post office than have them deliver it. I was actually home all morning but CP decided to take it back to the post office.

This box is very well packaged. It feels a lot like Christmas while I’m opening up my box. When I opened my box, I considered doing the review right away but I wanted to try out a few of the products first so that this would be a little more than an initial unboxing review. Continue reading

My First Voxbox

I’m going to start this post with some up front honesty. This is the first post that will be made by me about products that I did not pay for. These were sent to me by Influenster in my very first Voxbox. Influenster is a site that you sign up on, doing surveys about yourself, and then you might get chosen to get sent products for review. This is my first time getting a box from them to review.

This box was from Sally Hansen. It contained three of their “Complete Salon Manicure” polishes.┬áLet’s start with the claims that these polishes make. They promise to have 7 benefits in one bottle. It’s supposed to be a base coat, strengthener, growth treatment, colour, top coat, chip resistant, and have gel shine finish. That’s a whole lot of claims for one bottle. They also say that “after wearing brands for 10 days, the preferred polish OVERALL was Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure” when compared to Essie or Revlon Classic. Now those are even bigger claims. I love my Essie polishes and and they will last for days on my nails. Continue reading
